The Hordle Community Association started life in March 1989 (read the full story here). Reg Wareham (recently deceased) being one of the founding members and Chairman along with Julie Newhan, and Shirley Hoy acting as secretary. The first meeting took place in the Memorial Hall on Woodcock Lane on the 27th February 1989.
That first committee’s main aim was to put on events and activities for the community and to establish a HCA hall where regular meetings and events could take place, bringing the local community together. Since November 2014 HCA have been administering the Pavilion at Vaggs Lane with the support of Hordle Parish Council and to meet these aims we are planning for the future,
There are numerous vacancies for new members as we are looking forward to arrangements for the Spring Show, so please if you have any time to spare and would like to volunteer please let the secretary know or any of the committee members. The Hordle Community association has been created for you, the residents of Hordle, to bring together all householders of whatever age.
